Back in 1995 Marla Jane Lynch, a newly minted David Lynch fan, wrote her first short film. With not much more than newbie bravado and a rented VHS camera, she managed to wrangle together some like-minded Creatives, and make her first filmic foray - a little six minute experimental piece called "In Unnecessary Memory of...".

Fast forward three decades later, and somehow Marla is still managing to wrangle together like-minded Creatives, and play with cameras. The standard of the equipment and the budgets may be better, but the woo-hoo attitude is the same. (woo-hoo)

Also a professional Actor, Marla trained at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) and Screenwise in Sydney, the AMAW Masterclass in London, with NIDA voice coach Bill Pepper, plus numerous workshops with top coaches, Casting Directors, and Directors such as Robert Icke (UK) and Ben Young (Australia). She is an Advanced Studio Alumni with the Perth Actors Collective and Carpenter Casting Studio. Marla also has well over two decades of local theatre experience in her hometown of Perth. Her Bachelors Degree is in Film and TV production from Edith Cowan University, plus she has production and editing training with The Film & Television Institute and Metro Screen in Australia.
